OU-Tulsa Community Engagement Center Vision

The OU-Tulsa Community Engagement Center (OUCEC) creates and sustains community partnerships that advance teaching, research and service learning to promote civic development. It brings together resources from higher education, public schools, organizations, and businesses to create experiential learning environments that improve student achievement and develop strong communities.

 

OU-Tulsa Community Engagement Center Core Components

• Improve university-wide interdisciplinary collaborations.
• Increase internal and external civic engagement initiatives.
• Strengthen education and health infrastructures through improved communication.
• Create local, state, and national higher education networks committed to community engagement and expanding the community school model.
• Build and sustain a seamless education pipeline from early childhood to workforce readiness.
