Register for Classes Now
In order to reach as many OU affiliates as possible the OU-Tulsa Library is now offering library instruction in different formats. These instruction approaches are designed to meet the needs of our diverse users.
All library workshops are free, cross-disciplinary, and open to any student, faculty, or employee of OU. You can register for as many workshops as you like.
Campus-wide workshops
Workshop topics include database searching and new research and instruction technologies. A range of topics will be offered beginning the Fall 2008 semester.
Workshops on demand
5 days and 5 people. That’s all you need to schedule a workshop of your choice. Select any workshop from this list and we’ll provide it at your convenience. All you have to do is provide the library with 5 business days notice and ensure us that 5 people will attend. Register by contacting a reference librarian or calling 918-660-3216.
Individual Instruction
We welcome requests for individual instruction session appointments (including evenings and weekends) on topics of your choice. Please contact a reference librarian or call 918-660-3216.
In-class instruction
Providing in-class instruction to students is one of the most effective ways to teach research skills. OU-Tulsa reference and instruction librarians will provide in-class presentations and course work instruction on any research topic. Please contact a reference librarian or call 918-660-3216.
Class Research Assignments
Ensuring student success is important. Instructors are encouraged to consult with a reference librarian before developing class research assignments. Librarians will assist with locating appropriate resources, reserving class material and providing specific library instruction. Please contact a reference librarian or call 918-660-3216.
